Placing an Order
On-line orders can be placed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on ShopBeautifulBeginnings.com web site. On-line ordering is straightforward and convenient; simply click the “Add to Cart” button from any product page on the web site and then follow the subsequent instructions.
Telephone orders can be placed Monday thru Friday 10:00AM - 5:30PM and Saturdays 10:00AM - 5:00PM(CST)
Payment and Sales Tax
Presently, Beautiful Beginnings accepts credit card payments from Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover.
Because Beautiful Beginnings operates in Illinois, we are required to collect 9.25% sales tax on orders shipped to an Illinois address. Those who live outside Illinois will not be charged sales tax for orders placed on Beautiful Beginnings Web Site, but may want to consult applicable tax laws in their state. Please call our toll-free number if you feel more comfortable placing your order over the phone.
Order Status/My Account
If you’d like to check the status of your order, we encourage you to refer to your order confirmation where you will find the lead time for the items you ordered. Please note that the lead times reflected are for the production time needed to complete your items. Shipping transit times add one to three weeks to your lead time depending on the item shipping method used and destination. Small items such as accessories and bedding are shipped via UPS or FedEx and should be delivered to the specified shipping address within three to five days of the lead time noted. Delivery of furniture may require up to three weeks, as Beautiful Beginnings' specialized in-home furniture carriers take great pride in transporting and delivering your items safely.
You may also check your My Account profile for updates on the status of your order. Once an item has been shipped, this information will be reflected in My Account. If you wish to speak with a customer service team member, call us Monday through Saturday between 9:30AM and 5:30PM(CST).
International Orders
At this time, Beautiful Beginnings cannot ship items outside the 48 contiguous states.
Security and Privacy
We understand your concerns regarding privacy and designed this policy as part of our strong commitment to you. Cookies are used on the site to help customers access and track items in their shopping cart. A cookie is sent to the individual to identify them when they return to the site for the purpose of viewing items left in their shopping cart.
When registering as a member of Beautiful Beginnings, we may ask you to provide certain details about yourself. We do this in order to offer you a full range of information, products and services. To register as a member, we will ask you to provide your name, email address and mailing address. We will use this information to notify you of site changes and provide you with valuable offers from Beautiful Beginnings and our Partners. All newsletters and promotional emails have an "opt-out" feature. When you order products, we will also need your billing and shipping information. This information should be as accurate as possible because we will use it for all contact, billing and shipping purposes.
Because members and their privacy are top priority at Beautiful Beginnings, we use the most secure transaction software available. All credit card orders on Beautiful Beginnings are processed on a secure server. Any credit card or other personal information you provide Beautiful Beginnings is protected by encryption using Secure Socket Layer Protocol (SSL). Terms and Conditions
When you complete Beautiful Beginnings' member registration process, you agree to all of the terms herein. Beautiful Beginnings may update these terms and will notify you via our monthly newsletter or a prominent posting on this customer service page. Your continued use of Beautiful Beginnings after such notification indicates that you accept any and all changes. Users who do not subscribe to our newsletter are encouraged to check this page periodically for any changes.
Our artists and manufacturers rates and offerings may change from time to time. As a result, prices and availability of items in our collection, are subject to change until orders are placed. When placing orders, charges reflected in your Shopping Cart, including merchandise prices, are subject to correction in the event of calculation or printing errors. If a pricing error occurs, Beautiful Beginnings will contact you before proceeding with your order.
While the Beautiful Beginnings team works diligently to review the safety of all products, Beautiful Beginnings cannot be held liable for accidents resulting in personal injury that involve a product purchased on the site. In addition, Beautiful Beginnings is not responsible for copyright, registration or licensing infringement of products sold on the site.
Shipping Methods and Charges
Small furnishings, décor accessories and bedding are typically shipped via ground service with small package carriers such as UPS and FedEx.
Larger furniture requires special consideration in shipping and delivery. Because these items are large and heavy, we must ship them via Standard Delivery with special in-home furniture carriers. As a result, these oversized items incur a Standard Delivery shipping surcharge in addition to the regular shipping charges noted below. Shipping surcharges are noted on an item's product page and in your Shopping Cart.
Beautiful Beginnings offers 3 delivery options, Standard Delivery, Premier Delivery, and White Glove Delivery (offered in Chicago Metropolitan area only). Please read carefully the following information. Furniture that is shipped with an in-home delivery service via Standard Delivery will be placed inside the main entrance-way of your home. Premier Delivery of your furniture will include your furniture being brought into your home, unpacked, removal of packaging, and put in room of your choice. Because of our commitment to exceptional customer service, Beautiful Beginnings also offers White Glove Delivery for the Chicago Metropolitan area. Upon delivery, the White Glove Delivery carrier will unpack, place these furnishings in the room of your choice, discard of the packing materials, and assemble all furniture that needs to be put together.
If a furniture carrier is used to ship your item, the carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery time. Deliveries are scheduled within a four-hour window. If you are unable to meet the delivery driver at your scheduled appointment time, please call in advance to reschedule your delivery. If delivery cannot be scheduled within 10 days, applicable storage fees will be due and payable upon delivery.
Standard shipping charges are based on the total price of an order and outlined in the chart below. Shipping surcharges for oversized and furniture items are in addition to the costs shown below:

How to Receive Your Shipment
If you have ordered furniture from Beautiful Beginnings, your order may be shipped via an in-home freight carrier. Most carriers schedule deliveries Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
You must be present to receive, inspect and sign for your delivery. Please DO NOT arrange to have shipments dropped off when no one is home. When the carrier contacts you, please make note of the company’s name and phone number. This will be very helpful if you need to contact them for any reason. It is essential that you contact the carrier should you need to reschedule your delivery appointment. When delivery appointments are missed, the shipping company will assess a missed appointment charge of $49.
Beautiful Beginnings’ artists and manufacturers take great care in packaging their creations to ensure safe transport to your home. Although these items are packaged properly, in some instances transit-related damage may occur. It is imperative that you inspect your order carefully when it arrives. Take the time to note any damage to your furniture and to the packing materials on the delivery receipt. Do not sign the shipping documents without recording details of transit damage. (For example: the furniture is scratched, dented, cracked, fabric is torn and the box is crushed on the top corner, punctured or wet)
Upon inspection, if you find that your merchandise is damaged, you may choose to refuse the delivery. Damages must be reported to Beautiful Beginnings at the time of delivery by calling us at 708-246-1212 Beautiful Beginnings will be unable to assist you in repair or replacement of damaged merchandise if it is not thoroughly inspected and documented as described above.
Freight companies are instructed to deliver items during the time frame scheduled with you, our customer. However, if you find that your furnishing(s) were delivered when you are not at home, please do not move the boxes. Contact Beautiful Beginnings immediately for further instructions.
Returns/Exchanges
Custom-designed furnishings, bedding, accessories, select gifts and clothing, and other made-to-order items require payment in full upon order. Because artisans craft these items to your specifications, Beautiful Beginnings cannot accept returns of custom items.
Please note: All sales on discounted and sale items are final.
Beautiful Beginnings strives to provide our customers with the highest quality merchandise and an unparalleled shopping experience. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for an exchange, or store credit only. Returned items must be unused, in their original condition and packaging, with tags still on items, and must be returned within 30 days of receipt of item.
Beautiful Beginnings makes fabric and finish samples available to help you select the appropriate colors and designs for your décor. Because custom items cannot be returned, Beautiful Beginnings suggests that you contact a Design Consultant to request a sample prior to purchasing custom items. Cancellations
Beautiful Beginnings works to ship orders as quickly as possible. For this reason, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to cancel your order after it has been placed. If you need to cancel your order please call us ASAP (within 3 business days of placing your order) at 1-888-549-BABY(2229) and we will do our best to cancel your order. If you order has already shipped, please see our Returns policy for further instructions.
Warranty Information
Beautiful Beginnings upholds the warranties offered by the artisans and manufacturers who craft our furnishings. Because the scope and duration of our manufacturers’ warranties vary, we encourage you to ask a Beautiful Beginnings Design Consultant for specific warranty information on products of interest.
Requesting a Swatch
Beautiful Beginnings is happy to offer fabric swatches and finish samples for most of our linens and furnishings in order to help you select the right item every time. If you want to review these items, please contact one of our Design Consultants by calling us Monday through Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (central standard time).
A credit card is required to process your request for samples, although charges will not be assessed if samples are returned within three weeks. After reviewing samples, please return them in the postage paid envelope provided. Due to the high demand for our samples, Beautiful Beginnings must charge $25 for each sample sets not returned within three weeks. However, if you place an order for the item, you may keep the appropriate sample(s) to assist with your decorating.
